5 Best Dallas Date Nights Staycations
I can’t believe we have come to the end of our Dallas Date Nights series! I have really enjoyed sharing 50 of my favorite date night spots in Dallas – be sure to come back next week when I’ll share a free printable with over 100 Dallas Date Night ideas! The date spot will be broken into price category, so it will be a really fabulous resource. But we can’t get too ahead of ourselves! Sometimes in life (especially when you have little ones), there just isn’t time or money in the budget for a vacation, but it’s so important to get away. Our lives are so busy and full of things that “need” to get done, that it’s important to take time away from the hustle and bustle of life to prioritize your most important relationship – your marriage. Fortunately, North Texas is full of amazing venues for a romantic Staycation! Here are my Top 5 Staycations in Dallas:
1. Gaylord Texan
The Gaylord Texan is unlike any hotel you’ve ever seen! Situated directly across from the family-friendly Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, this hotel is home to four restaurants, a nightclub, and 4.5 acres of indoor gardens. The highlight of this hotel is the Atrium, which has lush landscaping and even a stream! It is absolutely gorgeous. At Christmas, they fill the atrium with lights and Christmas displays. It’s the perfect place for a Dallas Date Night!
2. Greer Farms in Dangerfield
Greer Farms is about two hours outside of Dallas, but it is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of life in the city. They have a pick-your-own farm full of blueberries, blackberries, plums, and figs. You can take a farm-to-table cooking class and stay in a luxury log cabin. You can also buy farm products like eggs, meat, jam, and bread directly from the farmer. This romantic hideout is far enough away from the city to feel remote, but close enough to make it a one-night or weekend getaway.
3. Hilton Anatole
This luxury hotel is right in the middle of the Dallas Design District. It’s close to the Sixth Floor Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and Nasher Sculpture Center. It has a gorgeous Asian themed lobby with more than 1,000 pieces of Asian art. The hotel sits on over 45 acres and my favorite part is the Hilton Anatole. Of course, if you’re looking for a Dallas Date Night staycation during the Holidays, be sure to look into their special event – Sparkle.
4. Dinosaur Valley State Park
If you enjoy camping, you won’t want to miss this unique spot in North Dallas! If the river is low, you can see dinosaur tracks along the river bed. You can also explore 20 miles of hiking trails, swim, fish, ride mountain bikes, or try your hand at geocaching. This is the perfect date idea for the adventurous couple!
5. The Sanford House Inn and Spa
This sweet little bed and breakfast is right in the middle of some of Arlington’s biggest tourist attractions – just minutes from the Cowboys Stadium, Texas Rangers Stadium, and Six Flags. It is gorgeous – completely transporting you away from Dallas without stepping foot on a plane.

I haven’t been to any of these except the Gaylord (except never to spend the night). How fun to have more ideas! We RARELY get out in Dallas!
It’s so hard when we get stuck in our routine and never leave our little “corner” of the Metroplex! I loved this series because it encouraged my husband and I to actually get out and TRY some things!
