Holiday party season is right around the corner, don’t forget to show the hostess some love! Moms don’t always have a lot of time to plan ahead, so you can always be prepared with this simple Hostess Gift.
A Simple Hostess Gift with Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix
At the beginning of the Holiday season, I love to make a big batch of this Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix. Then I can easily pair it with a candle and a few decorative items for a warm gift that any hostess would love.
Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix is the perfect addition to this simple Hostess Gift and couldn’t be easier. To make the mix, you will need:
- 1⅓ cup powdered sugar
- ⅓ cup baking cocoa
- ½ cup powdered milk
- ⅛ teaspoon salt (optional)
Pour a half cup of your hot chocolate mix into a plastic bag or wide mouthed mason jar and top with marshmallows. When the hostess is ready to make her hot chocolate, she will simply add the hot chocolate mix to 8 ounces of hot water in a heat-proof mug. She will stir until the hot chocolate mix is completely dissolved and enjoy!
To put the gift together, simply layer the Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix and candles into a large canister with a flour sack towel.
