Using Bible Verse wallpaper or Scripture on your phone’s lock screen is a modern way to memorize Scripture when you’re on the go. This week, the women at my church gathered together to start a Bible study based on the book The Best Yes by Lysa TerKeurst. In this study, she grapples with our universal need to say “yes” to people, when we should first be
Last fall, very few people would have guessed that the Cowboys would be in the playoffs, but with this winning streak, our fair city of Dallas has exploded in a sea of blue and white stars. Though the Cowboys still have to face the Packers this Sunday before they can think about the Big Game, for a planner like me, all this excitement means it’s time
Can you believe it’s already 2015? I lost my brain back in February, so I really feel like last year just flew by. I thought it might be fun to feature the “Top Ten” posts on Wit & Wander in 2014 – meaning the posts that have gotten the most traffic during the 2014 calendar year. This almost seems like just a reflection of my year – from learning
I have loved sharing bits of our life through these monthly photos. It’s pretty crazy to see our year all together like this – time sure does fly! During 2014, our family grew from two to three. I quit work to stay at home with our little one, which led to the start of this blog and opening my Etsy shop. Daniel continued to work
December Highlights Our little girl’s first Christmas! We made sugar cookies for Santa, ate Chinese food (our family’s Christmas Eve tradition), and read the Christmas story from Luke 2. Opened presents – this year, she got a big box of Duplos, a beginner band set, Star Wars Colors book, a ball from daddy, and some cute pajamas from mommy. Of course her favorite present was
I don’t always make New Year’s Resolutions – partially because I don’t think they work, but mainly because I forget. Well, this year I am at least checking off resolution number one – making a New Year’s resolution list, ha! Here are the things I am resolving to do…well, at least I resolve to try to do them…or maybe, I resolve to think about trying
Christmas isn’t all about Santa and Rudolph, but that doesn’t stop your 7-year-old niece from expecting presents on December 25! And let’s face it, we all love giving gifts as much (or maybe even more) than we love receiving them. By supporting missional, fair trade businesses, you can give meaningful presents to the people you love and support great causes around the world. I want
The shop is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I love everything about Christmas – twinkling lights, fun songs, warm cups of hot cocoa, so of course I have had these prints up in our Etsy shop since before Thanksgiving! Just in case planning ahead isn’t your thing, I thought I’d share our Christmas Prints, which happen to be fantastic for last minute gifts!
My husband and I really like to do things outdoors for our date – like taking walks, visiting farmer’s markets, and playing frisbee golf. Outside dates are generally cheaper and we can talk (the way I feel loved) while doing an activity (a way he feels loved). Once the temperatures drops, I just want to make some mint tea and curl up under a blanket.
