Family Art Quote Print Wit & Wander on Etsy

{New in the Etsy Shop} Family Prints + Giveaway

I love my family! Unfortunately, all of our extended family lives halfway across the country, but they are still some of my favorite people on earth. We also have lots of friends that we have known for years who I would also consider family. They are my moms and dads, brothers and sisters; they are aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins to our little girl. Where else outside of family can you keep inside jokes going for days, months, and even years? There is no one else I can be my true, competitive, snarky self around, knowing that they will still love me the next day.  Whether it’s family by blood or family by choice, I truly believe those relationships ought to be celebrated. That’s why I created this line of Family Quote Prints new in Wit & Wander’s Etsy Shop for 2015. I hope you enjoy and share them with someone you love like family!

  1. One of my favorite family memories from childhood was making gnocchi with my mother, brothers, and sister. My mom would make the dough, roll it out into long ropes of dough, cut it into the dumplings, and give each of us a pile of these dumplings to mark with our forks. My brother and I would get competitive about who could make more. My mother would sometimes have a hard time keeping up with the demand. But it would make quick work of this big project with lots of lively discussions.

My favorite family memory is when I was younger my dads sister would dress up as Santa on Christmas Eve every single year for the kids (our family is huge). Its bitter sweet thinking back on it because our huge family used to be so close but now we “kids” hardly even recognize eachother out in town since our grandmother passed 🙁

  3. My favorite family memory was taking an RV trip to Mount Rushmore as a family and actually making our own identical shirts for the trip! We built forts in the RV and camped there.

  4. one of my favorite family memories is visiting the mountain towns nearby in the winter, looking at all the unique handcrafted goods in the store windows along the streets, smelling the crisp pine-scented air and watching snow lightly fall around the lamp posts… it always felt like Christmas before the season officially started, and fed gladness into my heart 🙂

  5. My favorite family memory is making Christmas spice cookies with my Gram and the whole family. It is a tradition my Mom and sister still keep going. My Gram would also make homemade hot chocolate do all of us to drink out of green glass mugs in front of the fire after cookie making was over.

  6. Christmas time was always the best! We got to see our families from all over the US and it was really special.

  7. Another favorite memory of mine is when my boyfriend and I first moved into our new apartment. It was so nice to start a new chapter of my life with him by my side.

  8. I remember going on my honeymoon to Alaska with my husband! We had an amazing time! We got awesome photos too. When I was a kid we used to vacation in Florida. Loved those trips! kristiedonelson(at)gmail(dot)com Thank you.

  9. Another favorite memory is when I first got my cat. My boyfriend came home with him and the tiny kitten jumped in my lap. I was in love immediately.

  10. I remember the time my Dad was teaching me how to drive. To make a long story short we ended up in a ditch laughing.

  11. My best family memory was the last trip I took with my dad. We all went to gatlinburg and it was 2 months before he passed.

  12. When I was in elementary school my room was right above the garage. My dad left early for work every morning. When I heard the garage door open I would run over to my window and turn the light on and wave to my dad as he drove off down the street to work and he would turn the light in his truck on and wave back at me. 🙂

  13. My favorite memory happened just last night when my daughter got her First Official Invitation to NBHA Youth World!! We can’t wait!!

  15. My favorite family memory is Christmas Eve we got together with our cousins for a family party. After we got to open a present (pajamas) then the kids would sleep in one room and we’d all get no sleep anticipating Christmas morning!

My favorite family memory is when we went together as a family camping on the beach this past year. We have two little boys (they were 1 and 2). Crazy tiring but super fun!

  17. It’s hard to pick just one favorite. I think one of my favorites is the year that my brother, sister, and I got a trampoline for Christmas. It was by far the biggest thing we had ever received and we had so much fun on it for years.

  23. One of my favorite family memories is placing my second newborn son in my first son’s arms. The look in his eyes was so beautiful as he held his brother for the first time. My whole family was there and I could tell how much it meant to everyone to view this special moment.

My favorite child hood memory is any summer at my grandparents house! I would be spoiled rotten! Play, eat, nap! I would give anything to have one more day with my Nana!

  25. My favorite family memory is watching my Dad take two of my kids around on his antique tractor. It was a beautiful sight and I am so thankful that I have a picture of that day.

  26. My favorite memory was when I was about 15 or so and we were visiting my dad (My mom, brother and sister) – parents were divorce and they were being really nasty to me. So, my Dad called home from work and asked how everything was and I told him that they were all being nasty to me and I didn’t like it…then he said well, what do you want from the store…I thought he was asking everyone so I turned around to ask them what they wanted Dad to bring home from the store and he said no no no (on the phone) I meant JUST YOU!! What do you want from the store? I said I don’t know surprise me. My brothers, sister and Mom were in the background yelling things they wanted-I thought for sure he heard them) So, about an hour or so later my Dad walks in and hands me a Charleston Chew candy bar. He had NOTHING else for ANYONE ELSE! I couldn’t believe that My Dad would want to make My day special and he did!

  27. My family has taken yearly trips to Vermont, where we spend a week with my immediate family and cousins on Lake Champlain. We have traditions within that tradition: sunset dinners on top of Mount Philo, Pizza on Earth, hiking, swimming in rivers, tubing, water skiing, dancing around to music when we cook meals 🙂

  28. My favorite recent family memory is watching my brother become a father after wanting to do so for a very long time. Watching his dream come true has been very exciting for me, my husband and children.

  29. My favorite memories are of my grandmother. We lost her a year ago after a long battle with dementia. I’ll never forget our last trip down to Myrtle Beach!!

  30. My favorite childhood memory is raking up all the leaves in a huge pile and jumping in them. My 2 younger sisters and I did this for hours. We also colored for hours. My mom was a single mom and she did a great job raising us.We didnt have a lot of money but she was(still is) the best cook and baker. We had love, clothes, food and a roof over our heads. We never needed money to have fun. I love your wonderful signs. Thank you for the chance 🙂
