Rainy days and gorgeous blooms – spring has definitely arrived! Our house was in desperate need of some bright, spring colors, but we are on a budget with very little wiggle room for home decor.
I am not an expert at floral arrangements, but I love fresh flowers, so I bought this bright bunch of flowers at Aldi and grabbed an empty salsa jar I had in the pantry and started to work.
First, you’ll need a jar – any jar will be worked as long as you thoroughly wash the jar and peel off the label. If there is residue, you can take it off with a bit of nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol.
Prepare the flowers by removing most of the leaves by pinching the base of the leaf closest to the stem and cutting at least an inch the off each stem. To make the flowers last longer, cut the stems at an angle so they can absorb more water. After you decide how tall you would like you arrangement, cut the first flower and use it as a guide to cut the remaining flowers.
Fill your jar with clean water and arrange your flowers with the tallest in the back. Mix the colors throughout the arrangement and remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful!
Enjoy your beautiful arrangement!
